Our vision is to provide a public Waldorf high school education ensuring that our students can successfully engage the world. George Washington Carver School of Arts and Science is a four-year high school with an enrollment at 265 in grades 9 through 12. We anticipate growing each year until we reach capacity at 400 students. George Washington Carver is a college preparatory school and stresses the value of higher education. To that end, we have more graduation requirements than other high schools in Sacramento.

TK-8 School

John Still TK-8 has served the Meadowview area since the 1960’s. John Still TK-8 offers free after school care, a host of after school enrichment opportunities, and provides a safe, structured, and positive environment overseen by an experienced staff. The John Still TK-8 Tigers field the following teams for 6th through 8th grade: volleyball (girls only), basketball, and soccer. In addition, 4th through 6th grade developmental basketball leagues routinely function out of the John Still K-8 gym. John Still TK-8 strives to provide a comprehensive education to all students.

Sacramento Accelerated Academy (SAA) is a technology-based high school, offering virtual courses meeting every requirement needed to graduate from SCUSD. While SAA serves students in need of credit recovery, we also serve students in need of virtual courses due to mental health, physical health, geographic circumstances, campus safety, and other personal reasons. SAA assigns one teacher to each student who creates a custom course plan and works with a student throughout all courses; each course also has specialized online instructors.
