School Program

Program Information

The Law and Social Justice Academy (LSJ) is a three-year program, which provides a focus for students who are interested in the areas of the law, criminal justice, social justice, and public safety. In each year of the academy, students will learn about different aspects of the law and their rights, so that they can be advocates for themselves and others. We seek to support the minds of our students in both academic and civic participation. We engage our students in activities that provide them opportunities in leadership positions outside of the classroom and campus. We prepare our students to become active agents of change in our community through rigorous academics and service learning opportunities such as internships and volunteer community service.

LSJ Student Outcomes

Students will have an opportunity to develop an understanding of numerous legal and advocacy careers in a diverse learning environment, which will ultimately help them to be well prepared for college and meaningful careers. The LSJ program prepares students for a wide range of high demand careers through mentoring, internships, and job shadowing. Our students also go on to complete their studies at one of the CSU or UC institutions.
