February Take-Home Test Kit Distribution

Dear Sac City Unified Families,

As part of our ongoing commitment to the health and safety of our community, our district ordered 88,000 take-home testing kits as an additional measure to minimize COVID-19 spread in our schools. This week, check your student’s backpacks for FREE take-home COVID-19 tests! We’re excited to be able to distribute these kits to EVERY SCUSD student and staff member over the next two days, Thursday and Friday, in advance of the upcoming 3-day weekend.

Please test your student on Monday, which is a school holiday in observance of President’s Day, before they return to school on Tuesday, February 22. We will also be opening Serna’s testing center 10am-4pm on Monday, February 21 to provide testing services to our entire community.

Whatever test result you get, we want to know! Reporting your negative, inconclusive or positive result to Primary Health helps us get the clearest picture of our community case rate and keep our community safe.

REPORT YOUR TEST RESULTS

Learn how to report your results with this tutorial video. Download take-home test kit flyers in six languages from the yellow box on this page.

Follow these simple steps to send your test result to Primary Health.

  1. If you haven’t already registered for testing, register here.
  2. Go to primary.health and select the green bar across the top, “Registered already…” or if you are already registered with Primary.Health, follow the link that is texted or emailed to you.
  3. Follow the instructions to report your results.

If you are already registered with Primary.Health, you may also follow the “report your at-home COVID-19 test” link sent through email or text.

If you test positive, stay home and notify your school Principal or supervisor immediately.

STAY HOME IF SICK

We also want to remind you that any time you have symptoms associated with COVID-19, like a cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat, headache, or loss of taste or smell, to please stay home until you are fever free for 24 hours, symptoms have improved, and you have tested negative for COVID or have a physician note clearing you to return to school.
