Sacramento County CDC COVID Community Level Update

e-Connections Post

SCUSD Families and Staff,

We are writing to make you aware that the CDC’s COVID Community Level for Sacramento County has moved to the High Level.

For Friday, December 23, indoor masking will not yet be required, however we strongly encourage our students, staff, and visitors to mask indoors. According to our Board Policy, a move to the High Level means indoor masking is required the following Monday. Because our schools are on winter break starting Monday, December 26th until January 9; the county level may change before we return.

We will send you another communication prior to the return from winter break on Friday, January 6 with the latest updates on CDC COVID Community Levels and confirm whether or not we are still in the High Level which will require indoor masking.

Staff who are working indoors at SCUSD facilities during winter break will be required to mask indoors starting Monday, December 26 until Sacramento County returns to the Medium or Low Level.
