Sacramento City Unified School District to Hold COVID-19 Vaccine Safety & SCUSD Reporting Process Town Hall Webinar Event on Tuesday, November 16
Townhall panelists to discuss vaccine safety, efficacy, next steps for SCUSD families to report student vaccination status, and more.

Sacramento, CA –  Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) will be holding a COVID-19 Vaccine Safety & SCUSD Reporting Process Town Hall Webinar Event on Tuesday, November 16 at 6:00pm. The webinar will allow community members and school district families to get answers to their questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for newly eligible ages 5-11, and the District’s new COVID-19 vaccination status reporting requirement for students and staff.

Webinar panelists will include Dr. Dean Blumberg, MD, Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist from UC Davis. Dr. Blumberg will be joined by SCUSD Student Health & Support Services Director III, Victoria Flores. Together, they will discuss vaccine safety, efficacy, where to get vaccinated, and next steps for families to report student vaccination status. Attendees will be welcomed with opening remarks from SCUSD Superintendent Jorge A. Aguilar, and Board President Christina Pritchett. A student Q&A will be led by SCUSD Student Board Member Jacqueline Zhang.

Webinar attendees can send questions for a brief Q&A following the presentation. Questions should be submitted by 1:00pm on Monday, November 15, 2021 to nicole-kangas@scusd.edu. As many questions will be read and answered as possible in the time allocated following the presentation.
