Sacramento City Unified Provides Update on Incident Involving Graffiti Found at C.K. McClatchy

Press release

Sacramento, CA - Last Friday, the Sacramento City Unified School District initiated an investigation following the discovery of disturbing graffiti at C.K. McClatchy High School.

As a result of that site level investigation and in consultation with Sac PD, the person responsible for the graffiti has been identified. The individual in question is a minor student, and appropriate disciplinary action is being taken by the district.

“Sac City Unified takes any instance of racial intolerance extremely seriously because such acts harm our students and our entire community,” said Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent Jorge. A. Aguilar. “While identification of the person involved in this incident has been addressed, we also will remain focused on supporting the healing of students and staff who have been impacted by this troubling act of vandalism.”
