While there are books that could be considered "Too Hard" or "Too Easy" we want readers to also choose to read challenging books and practice close reading strategies. Occasional easy reading is okay, as well.Book Boxes, one per student, can hold students' independent reading choices, chosen from the classroom library and switched out once a week.This chart includes "understand" as a focus. We want our students to read and make meaning. It's okay to also read easy and challenging books. Avoid using "too" easy and "too" challenging
