Summer Meal Distribution Schedule for August
Attention Sacramento City Unified Families,
Beginning Monday, August 2 – the following sites will offer FREE summer meal curbside pickup (breakfast and lunch) to all children daily, 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., until Friday, August 20.

Dear Sac City Unified Families:
If you struggled or are currently struggling to afford your Internet bill during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) may be able to help you.
This federal program will provide the Sacramento City Unified School District with funds to cover the monthly cost of Internet access in qualifying homes or purchase equipment such as laptops and tablets for qualifying students.
New law to expand grading and recovery options for students

The state of California recently enacted a new law - Assembly Bill (AB) 104 - that will expand learning and credit recovery options for students who may have struggled academically during the pandemic-impacted 2020-2021 school year. These include:
Free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Ages 12+ at C.K. McClatchy High School on July 13

SCUSD in partnership with Sacramento County Public Health is hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on:
Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available.
The Pfizer vaccine is available for anyone 12 and up. Parental consent is required. Multiple minors may be accompanied by one adult 18 years or older.
Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July Holiday
Summer celebrations, such as the 4th of July holiday, typically include large gatherings, crowds, and travel that may put people at increased risk for COVID-19.
While COVID-19 rates come down and vaccinations are broadly available to all individuals 12 years and older – we may return to some activities we had to limit last year. If everyone celebrating together is fully vaccinated – the CDC advises that we may resume gathering without face coverings or distancing.

Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Testing Program Starts July 6

Get tested for COVID-19 in just 15 minutes!
Starting July 6, Sac City Unified students and staff can get tested through the State of California and the Department of Public Health’s Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Testing Program. There is no cost for the test and no health insurance is required.
