Get tested for COVID-19 in just 15 minutes! 

Starting July 6, Sac City Unified students and staff can get tested through the State of California and the Department of Public Health’s Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Testing Program. There is no cost for the test and no health insurance is required.

Earn a Gift Card for Getting Tested

As part of this program, if you register and test at least three times during Summer Matters @ SCUSD or another summer school program, you will earn a $25 gift card to the retailer of your choice. Gift cards are limited to students and staff only. 

What are Rapid Antigen Tests?

Rapid antigen tests detect the presence of proteins from the COVID-19 virus within 15 minutes, including for asymptomatic individuals. Testing is quick and easy by inserting a cotton swab in the front part of the nose for about 15 seconds. Students can self-administer in front of a trained staff member. The California Department of Public Health recommends twice-a-week antigen testing at this time. 

The ability to show negative test results in less than a half-hour provides reassurance to the school and surrounding community.  We encourage all individuals to test regularly for COVID-19 so we can detect any positive cases and stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Parent/guardian consent is required to provide rapid antigen testing for students under 13 years old.  Consent is given one time when registering your student for this testing program.

To collect the specimen, the individual will place a swab, similar to a cotton swab/Q-Tip, inside of the tip of the nose.

Xét Nghiệm Kháng Nguyên Nhanh là gì?

Xét nghiệm kháng nguyên nhanh phát hiện sự hiện diện của các chất đạm từ vi rút COVID-19 trong vòng 15 phút, bao gồm những người không có triệu chứng.  Để thực hiện, nhét một tăm bông vào phần trước của lỗ mũi khoảng 15 giây.  Các học sinh có thể tự xét nghiệm trước mặt một nhân viên được đào tạo.  Bộ Y Tế Công Cộng Cali đề nghị xét nghiệm kháng nguyên hai lần một tuần tại thời điểm này.
