$200 Award – Criminal Justice Program

Application Period: January 16, 2024 – April 12, 2024

SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND: This scholarship will be issued in honor of the memory of Lino Delgadillo on behalf of the Delgadillo family.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Senior class cadets enrolled in the Air Force Jr. ROTC Program and students enrolled in the Criminal Justice Program at C.K. McClatchy High School. The Lino Delgadillo Memorial Scholarship is open to students who plan to attend a Community College, UC, CSU, or Vocational program within the state of California.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS:

Scholarship winners will be announced at the selected student’s High School Awards Assembly, unless otherwise indicated.

APPLICATION ATTACHMENTS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Seniors from C.K. McClatchy High School who are enrolled in the Air Force Jr. ROTC and Criminal Justice Programs who meet the stated eligibility requirements must complete an online application. The completed application must be accompanied by the following documents:

Student Essay– (essay must be typed in the appropriate box on the application, must be 750 words or less and must include the following):

-Short-term and long-term goals

-Personal challenges

-Community involvement (including future involvement)

Two Letters of Recommendation (MUST INCLUDE):

One from a school official (principal, counselor, or teacher) at the student’s high school; and

One from outside the school (employer, pastor, youth leader, or community leader)

An unofficial transcript of the student’s high school record, including the first semester of your senior year
