COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick (Effective March 29, 2021)

District Memo

Covered Employees in the public or private sectors who work for employers with more than 25 employees are entitled to up to 80 hours of COVID-19 related sick leave from January 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021, immediately upon an Oral or Written Request to their employer. If an employee took leave for the reasons below prior to March 29, 2021, the employee should make an oral or written request to the employer for payment. For Leave of Absence related questions, please email Leaves@scusd.edu or call 916-643-7450.

Please ensure to communicate with your Supervisor regarding your leave of absence request and plans. Employees must provide 30 days advance notice when the leave is “foreseeable.” If you do not notify the District in advance for foreseeable leave, the District may delay your leave as necessary to make appropriate arrangements for your temporary replacement. Such delay will not postpone your leave for more than 30 days from date of your request.
