Erlewine Elementary School Garden and Ecology Center on June
9th.
Slow Food Sacramento invites you to attend our 4th annual Urban
Ag Fest, this year showcasing and raising money for edible
schoolyard projects and education in the Sacramento region. The
event is on June 9. Reception is from 3:30-5:30pm. Dinner will be
served at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $20/person for the reception and $75/person for the
dinner.
Schools Insurance Authority is sponsoring the attached Wellness
Program for SCUSD employees. As part of Coordinated School Health
Committee, a spring wellness event is planned for staff.
There are programs for SERNA and sites to participate.

For 11 and 12 month employees, the third furlough day will be
designated as June 15, 2012. If any employee has already
taken their third furlough day, that employee is not required to
take another furlough day.
For 10 month employees, the third furlough day will be taken as a
floating day off. The employee will need to submit a
request, in advance, to his/her supervisor. If any employee
has already taken their third furlough day, that employee is not
required to take another furlough day.
All floating furlough days must be taken before June 30, 2012.
Effective January 1, 2012, a new law ( Education Code Section
49475) requires that students and parents/legal guardians sign a
Concussion Head Injury Information Sheet before a student may
try-out, practice, or compete in any District-sponsored
extracurricular athletic program, including interscholastic,
intramural, or other sports programs (including cheer/dance teams
and marching band), but excluding physical education courses for
credit. This law applies to high school, middle school, and
elementary school athletic programs.

Team Participation are extracurricular student activities that
have an athletic component such as sports, cheerleading, dance or
marching band. This applies to all 7th through 12th grade
students participating in these extracurricular student
activities. Note: Forms available if other languages
are required — please call.
Attached above is the revised TB Clinic Information and Schedule
that will be in the New Employee Handbooks. Please note that TB
testing will not be done at the Serna Center in the Delaware
Room, but has been moved to the Enrollment Center Immunization
Clinic at the Genesis campus in room 4.
