CTE Advisory Committee

What is a CTE Advisory Committee?

Overview

Career Technical Education (CTE) programs in the Sacramento City Unified School District are served by a District-Level CTE Advisory Board and Individual CTE Program Advisory Committees. These committees are made up of parents, students, teachers, representative of business and industry, labor organizations, representatives of special populations, and other interested individuals. Committee members are involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of secondary CTE programs throughout the district.

Committee members at both the district and program level are tasked with, among other things, approving a program’s course of study and curriculum content, determining the viability and demand for a CTE program, and making recommendations for the approval of the annual Carl D. Perkins plan and expenditure of Perkins funds.
