The district is communicating its reopening plan, titled the
Return Together Plan, which includes a detailed plan for Health
and Safety. The Return to
Health Plan was first released in July 2020 and has since
received updates in response to changing health conditions and
updated recommendations from state and county health
As part of the plan, the district
has released a series of videos demonstrating proper health
protocols such as screening, physical distancing, face coverings,
disinfecting, and hand hygiene. Also included as part of the plan
are printable materials, posters, and instructions for school
sites which can be found here.
We know that health and safety doesn’t stop at COVID-19
mitigation. This is why SCUSD promotes
safe practices and services through vaccination clinics. We
promote these events to our community through emails, robocalls,
and social media.
Transparency is important to help our families make informed
decisions that are the best for them. In addition to strict
protocols in place to mitigate COVID-19 and to notify our
community when there is potential contact with someone infected
with COVID-19, we are committed to providing you with clear and
concise information about cases on our campuses. This is why we
have created a COVID-19 dashboard, to display current case
counts, as well as close contact counts.
