The attached document provides a summary of the draft Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals being proposed for the next three-year LCAP (2021-22 to 2023-24). These draft goals are an expansion of the existing structure and reflect both the input of stakeholders as well as the current priorities and efforts of the district.

Alignment between the LCAP and SPSAs is an important part of the district’s vision for effective data-based decision-making to achieve our guiding principle: All students are given an equal opportunity to graduate with the greatest number of postsecondary choices from the widest array of options. The final LCAP reflects the decisions made by sites through the SPSA process to use LCFF Supplemental and Concentration grant funds to increase and improve outcomes for Unduplicated students (English Learners, Low-Income students, Homeless Youth, and Foster Youth). Approved SPSA goals and actions should, overall, align to the major goals of the district.

The transition to a new three-year LCAP cycle can present a challenge in timing as revisions to the LCAP are being made in parallel to the development of SPSAs. This bulletin is intended to provide you an overview that, while a draft, is sufficiently developed to use as a clear reference point. As you continue your in-progress SPSA development, the draft goal areas can serve as points of alignment. 

Additionally, the attachment contains a link to material recently shared with the Board that includes a summary of key actions and metrics that are associated with each draft goal. As you consider the measurable outcomes to be used within your SPSA, this can also support alignment considerations.
