Your School Site Council should review and, if necessary, update your school’s Parent and Family Engagement Policy and School-Parent Compact at the start of each school year (ESSA Section 1116[b][1]).

Your School Parent and Family Engagement Policy should describe how you will involve stakeholders in the development and implementation of your Title I program. Additionally, the School-Parent Compact should outline how parents, the entire school staff and students will share the responsibility for improved academic achievement and how the school and parents will build and develop a partnership to help children achieve high academic standards (ESSA Section 1116[d]).
