Elementary, K-8 and Middle Schools

Principal Bulletin Informational

The ScholarShare Investment Board is launching the Scholar Dollars grant program and awarding 20 grants of up to $30,000 each to winning schools.

Schools are free to spend the grants on musical instruments, computers, library books, sports equipment, field trips or gardening tools.  The grants can also be used for tutoring labs, science and technology and math instruction, student counseling, clubs and many other activities.

Participation in the Scholar Dollars contest is simple. Schools must register online at beginning February 15, 2018, and then get their respective communities to vote in support of their plan to spend the grant money. The schools that earn the most votes will be awarded grants. (Grants will be awarded in six categories based on the schools’ enrollment size.)
