National Engineers Week
Elementary and K-8 Schools
If you are interested in having an Intel employee come out to speak at your school during National Engineers Week (February 20 – 28), please fill out the form here. They would especially like to reach out to Title 1 schools this year with the program, but are open to any request from any local school, of course.
A few notes:
- Since Intel employees conduct these presentations on a volunteer basis, filling out the form does not guarantee a presentation.
- Once submitted, Intel will look for a volunteer and the volunteer will contact you with his/her availability if we can arrange a presentation at your school.
- We will give preference to one classroom per school, as we receive many requests for speakers every year. Please submit the request with one specific classroom in mind (i.e. 30 4th graders in Miss Janet’s Science class), but feel free to note any interest in a larger audience (i.e. an auditorium w/all 3rd – 5th graders combined) in the special requests section on the form. For elementary schools, we would prefer 4th or 5th grade, and for K-8, 6th grade. Those age ranges seem to get the most out of the presentation.
The deadline to turn in your form is Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Thank you.
