Legacy 2.0 Musical
Images Theatre Company (Sacramento’s premier African American Company) is excited to announce the presentation of this year’s first production, “LEGACY 2.0”. The show will open on Thursday, February 8, 2018 and runs for 3 consecutive weekends, Thursdays – Sundays until February 25, 2018. They would like to invite you and/or your school to join them by offering discounted group rates.
“LEGACY 2.0” is written and directed by veteran actor, playwright and director, Lisa Lacy, with original music and musical direction by the accomplished composer and musician, Charles Cooper. It is a musical production that educates and celebrates the rich and complicated African-American History in an entertaining manner. The show provides students with knowledge and hope, while demonstrating the resilience of African-Americans, as a people. Through scenes, dance, music and songs, such topics as African-Kingdoms, the Transatlantic Slave Crossing, Slavery, Jim Crow, Civil Rights Movements and the election of President Barack Obama are highlighted. “LEGACY 2.0” is the perfect complement to any Black History celebration activities and/or programs that you may be planned for students and/or student organizations during African-American History Month.
All shows will be held at the historic Grant Union High School Theatre and Auditorium,1400 Grand Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95838. The discounted group ticket prices are as follows:
- 15 – 29 attendees: $18 per ticket
- 30 – 200 attendees: $15 per ticket
- Over 200 attendees: $10.00 per ticket
