Principal Bulletin Informational

The CAC will be hosting a workshop event on September 19, 2017 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Serna Center, titled, “Best Practices for Creating Inclusive School Climate for Students with Disabilities.” Below describes the parameters of the workshop. We would like to reach out to school administrators as well as parents, students, school site councils, social workers, counselors, teachers, IEP case managers and other relevant parties to attend. A panel will include representatives of bullying prevention, mental health/suicide prevention, school site councils/SPSAs, school site administration and social emotional learning.

The agenda will include an update on the district climate survey, overview of relevant plans such as SPSAs (school climate section), suicide prevention and bullying prevention as they relate to climate, innovative strategies to improve school climate (SEL), how we can begin to base district and site plans and goals based on data (as discussed with Superintendent). The CAC hopes for school site principal support in advertising this event and encourage principals to attend.
