Principal Bulletin Action Required - October 26, 2018

The Black College Expo is coming to Sacramento on November 17, 2018! This is a great opportunity for 12th grade students to learn about their college options and receive hands-on assistance with submitting a FAFSA application. Students will also have the opportunity to attend a variety of seminars, see below:

Seminars are 40 minutes in length and begin each hour on the hour until 3:00 p.m. Topics include:

  • Booming Careers (with a focus on Education)-NCRF
  • The 411 for the Student Athlete-NCRF
  • How to Find Money for College-NCRF
  • How to get A’s in English using Hip Hop presented by celebrity YoYo- NCRF
  • Financial Aid-Cal Grant, Middle Class Scholarship, Other State Grants-CSAC
  • Career Education and Training-ICAN
  • Cash for College Application Assistance-CSAC
  • Teaching Careers-CSUS

3 buses for the event will be provided centrally and we ask that every comprehensive high school support by identifying 17 students, every small high school 5, and alternative ed site 3. Please provide the names of chaperones to Christina Espinosa by October 26, 2018. Those attending will be compensated for their time. Please direct any questions to cespinosa@scusd.edu.
