Attendance Awareness Month Week #2
We just finished Week #2 of Attendance Awareness Month and we are celebrating! The district-wide average ADA is 96.63%, over half a percent higher than our 96% goal and an improvement over week #1!
53 of our sites are reaching the 96% goal which is 5 more schools than the first week! Here is the link.
If your site is not listed that means you are under 96%, but there are still 2 more weeks in the month…plenty of time to get there.
Sites are all-in around attendance for the 2019-2020 school year with fancy bulletin boards on display, attendance recognition assemblies and school wide competitions. Teachers are creating a culture of positive attendance in the classrooms and leaders are educating parents and families on why attending every day is so important for their student’s success.
Please share your pictures and updates to Behere@scusd.edu. We’d love to recognize your school!
Leataata Floyd even had a visit from Slamson to help inspire students to attend #schooleveryday!
