Fern Bacon gets high-tech media lab, thanks to SECC grant
Middle school schedules ribbon-cutting ceremony for Wednesday

Sacramento, California – Fern Bacon Middle School is pleased to announce that it will hold a Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for its recently renovated media studio with the help of the Sacramento Education Cable Consortium’s media grant.

“We’re happy to introduce our latest accomplishment to the community and thank those who brought this project to fruition,” said Principal Mary Coronado.  “The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the media studio marks a new era for Fern Bacon Middle School.”

Included in the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be music performed by the Fern Bacon Middle School band.  Additionally, current media students will be on hand to show guests the new equipment and showcase media projects students have been working on all year. 

The school district’s superintendent, members from SECC, and Fern Bacon staff will be in attendance. 

“We are excited to share the amazing grant Fern Bacon received from the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium and all the help and guidance they have provided to our media program with everybody, including incoming students for next year,” stated teacher Julie Del Agua.
