The Power of Relationships Conference Registration
Friday, February 13, 2015
8am – 12pm
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is a growing movement in education in which students are explicitly taught skills like impulse control and empathy. By learning how to self-manage and get along socially, classrooms become safe and managed and teachers can prompt kids to take the kind of learning risks necessary to grasp high-level concepts that colleges and employers want.
Join Sacramento community leaders for an SEL summit titled “The Power of Relationships” and learn how positive life skills can prepare students for college and 21st century careers.
California State University, Sacramento sponsors include College of Social Sciences & Interdisciplinary Studies, College of Education, Department of Psychology, Asian Studies Program, Department of Ethnic Studies, Department of Sociology, Community Engagement Center, Full Circle Project, 65th Street Corridor Collaborative, One World Initiative.
|8am – 9am||Light Breakfast|
|9am – 12pm||Speakers and Roundtable Discussion|
