Parent Engagement Tools for School Site Staff
Professional development series begins September 15

Post Sean Alexander

School site staff, and parent volunteers who are key to parent engagement, are encouraged to attend the Parent Resource Center Collaborative training series. The goal is to increase the skills and capacity of staff that work with parents, as well as to provide tools to increase parent engagement at each school site. By attending this series, staff will gain knowledge and confidence. It’s also an opportunity to interface and share strategies with peers at other sites and with district staff.

The workshops are free, and offered at the Serna Center Parent Resource Center. To accommodate all schedules, we offer the same training from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., and again from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., and in the evening from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Staff who choose to attend outside of work hours may earn professional development credit for each hour attended.

For the specific topics, please see the flyer attached.  Please RSVP so that we can prepare materials: (916) 643-7924.
