Parent Resource Centers
A successful Parent Resource Center gives parents a sense of ownership by including them as stakeholders in the space and program design. Parent created and run centers are key in the development of relationships between families, school staff and community partners.
SCUSD Parent Resource Centers have become identified within the community as sites for trainings, workshops and activities that help students and their families succeed academically, socially and emotionally. The vision of the Sacramento City Unified School District is to have Parent Resource Centers at all school sites by 2014.
Be a part of this vision! To find out how you can create a Parent Resource Center at your school, contact the Serna Parent Resource Center (916) 643-7924.
