On Stage Event at CKM

On March 27, CK McClatchy High School VAPA Performing Artists lit up the stage with an electrifying evening of theater, dance, and music, showcasing the immense talent of our students. The ON STAGE event featured dynamic performances from the VAPA Lion’s Den Dance Company and the VAPA sophomore theater dancers, who captivated the audience with their artistry and movement. Adding to the night’s excitement, the VAPA theater department presented selections from the school's award-winning pieces at the prestigious Lanaea Festival, highlighting the exceptional storytelling and performance skills of CKM’s finest young actors. The evening ended with several pieces from The Spring Soirée, a CKM Music event that occurred earlier in the month. Mrs. Egan also celebrated the evening, "Last night, our VAPA Performing Arts students dazzled “On Stage.” I want to note how far our new dance program has come. The dance classes had multiple performances that were exceptionally well-choreographed and executed, with one that was in the musical theatre genre, which was particularly great. The theater and dance students are cross-trained in each genre, and that multidisciplinary vision is coming together.
