Celebrating Young Artists at the 2025 Kingsley Inspirations Exhibit!

Painting by student Matilda McKinzie

The Kingsley is proud to continue its 11-year tradition of supporting the next generation of creatives through the annual Inspiration Awards, a prestigious competition honoring exceptional high school artists from the Sacramento area. Each year, students are invited to create original works inspired by pieces from the Crocker Art Museum’s permanent collection or temporary exhibitions.

We are thrilled to announce that 16 talented students from CK McClatchy High School have been selected for this year’s Kingsley Inspirations Exhibit, with their artwork on display at the Crocker Art Museum from April 3 to June 16, 2025.

A special congratulations goes to Matilda McKinzie, who won 1st place, and Madeline Zimmerman, who has earned Second Place in this year’s show—a remarkable achievement!

Please join us in celebrating these incredible young artists at the Award Ceremony & Reception on Sunday, April 27 at 1:00 PM in the Crocker Auditorium. Don’t miss this inspiring event that showcases the creativity and passion shaping our community’s future.
