$5,000 per year for four years
The George H. Clark Memorial Scholarship

One student from each of the district’s comprehensive high schools, as recommended by the Principal and staff, deemed to be the most outstanding student of that high school will be selected to participate in the scholarship selection process. A final selection of one student who is the highest achieving high school student per SAT scores and GPA, citizenship - consistent evidence of maturity and responsibility, community involvement and individual initiative, extra-curricular activities/teamwork, and financial need.

$5,000 ($2,500 per semester)
The Rise Above Scholarship

A graduating senior from any high school in the Sacramento City Unified School District who has: financial need; a cumulative weighted 3.9 GPA; multi-year membership in California Scholarship Federation Club (CSF); National Honors Society Club (NHS) or Key Club; Full time enrollment in an accredited 4-year college or university/

$900 per year for four years
The Luela M. Goff Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must have spent both their junior and senior years in a SCUSD high school and be eligible for admission to a four-year
California college or university; or student must be eligible for entrance to a California junior college with qualifications to transfer to a four-year California college or university to obtain his/her Bachelor’s degree. If, upon graduation with a Bachelor’s degree, the student is accepted into a graduate (Masters) program, he/she is eligible for a fifth year upon proof of registration into that graduate program.

The Carpenter’s Local Union No. 46 Scholarship 

Applicants must attend full time, either an accredited two- or four-year college. Applicants should demonstrate an academic GPA of 2.0 or better, community involvement and volunteer experience, demonstrate financial need for enrolling in an institution of higher education, and a positive attitude and enthusiasm.

The Antonio Medrano Memorial Scholarship

Senior applicants must enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four year college, or vocational school. Preference will be given to students who were enrolled in a bilingual program within SCUSD, or attended Ethel Phillips, Edward Kemble, Washington Elementary, or Cesar Chavez Intermediate School.

The Jewell T. O’Connell Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship focuses on financial need as one of the primary factors for consideration. Additional consideration shall be given to the number of children attending college without financial assistance. The applicant’s high transcript must show an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher (nothing below a “C” in a high school where 4.0 is the top grade). Applicants must not be a recipient of any other scholarship or grant greater than $200 per year at the time of application. Applicants must select an accredited California college and must carry a minimum class load of 15 credits per academic period.

The Thomas M. Eustis Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to a SCUSD senior who will be attending a California college or university campus with a science or math focus.
Special consideration will be given to applicants who will be graduating from C. K. McClatchy High School. Applicants should exhibit above
average scholarship record – B+ academic GPA required, advanced math and science coursework, extra-curricular activities/community involvement, incentive, leadership qualities, cooperative spirit, positive attitude and enthusiasm, well rounded, outstanding high school experience, strong Personal Statement Student Essay that aligns to the mission of the scholarship.

Susan Cherveny Memorial Scholarship
Applicants should exhibit extra-curricular activities/community involvement, excellence in Language Arts and Humanities, cooperative
spirit and positive attitude, evidence of financial need for enrolling in an institution of higher education.

The Dell’Orto Simmons Scholarship 

This scholarship is open to seniors at McClatchy High School who plan on attending full-time at a 2- or 4-year college, or a vocational school. Applicants should demonstrate financial need for enrolling in an institution of higher learning and an average academic record (no minimum GPA required).

$2,000 minimum
(several one-year scholarships available)

C. K. McClatchy Class of ’66 Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to graduating McClatchy seniors who will attend a two- or four-year college or university. Applicant should have a 3.0 or greater GPA; commitment to continuing his or her education; and financial need.

The John A. and Charlotte M. Church Memorial Scholarship

Open to a senior student graduating from C. K. McClatchy High School. The proceeds from the investment of this fund provide for an annual scholarship to graduating student. Applicants should exhibit an above average scholarship record (GPA 3.0 or higher), extra-curricular activities/ community involvement, incentive, leadership qualities, cooperative spirit, positive attitude and enthusiasm, and demonstrate financial need for enrolling in an institution of higher learning.

The Rodney Hollander Memorial Scholarship

Open to a senior student graduating from C. K. McClatchy High School. Students must plan to attend a campus in the Los Rios Community College District in the Fall. Special Education students are encouraged to apply. Students may choose any desired field of study and must provide evidence of college acceptance. To be eligible for this scholarship, GPA will not be required. However, students are encouraged to achieve their best academic status at the time of graduation.

Lino Delgadillo Memorial Scholarship

Senior class cadets enrolled in the Air Force Jr. ROTC Program and students enrolled in the Criminal Justice Program at C.K. McClatchy High School. The Lino Delgadillo Memorial Scholarship is open to students who plan to attend a Community College, UC, CSU, or Vocational program within the state of California.
