Fifteen new electric-powered buses are arriving at our Transportation department as part of our ongoing effort to move toward zero emissions as we get students safely to school. We will now have 21 EV buses in our fleet!
Electric vehicles reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases. This helps combat climate change and improves air quality, leading to better respiratory health, especially in urban areas like Sacramento with high traffic congestion. Thanks to our Facilities team's Sustainability Manager for securing grants to fund our acquisition of these new EV buses, and thanks to our awesome Transportation team!
