The SCUSD Open Enrollment application for incoming Kindergarten through 8th Grade opened today and closes on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 5:00 pm. This is your opportunity to apply for your child to attend a school other than their neighborhood school for the 2026–2027 school year, subject to space availability.

If you’re exploring different school options, many schools also host visitation events so families can see campuses and meet staff. You can use SchoolFinder to discover schools based on your interests, before- and after-school care, school hours, and more.
Get Help with Your Student’s Application
Our Enrollment Center, located next to the Serna Center District Office, is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enrollment Center staff are ready to support families through every step of the enrollment process—no appointment needed. Computer kiosks and scanners are available on site for your convenience. For families who speak languages other than English, translators are available to help answer questions and ensure the process is clear and accessible.
The District is also hosting enrollment events across the district in February to help families with general registration and to apply for Open Enrollment, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and Kindergarten. These events provide hands-on support with technology and step-by-step guidance, and translators will be available to assist families in their preferred language. Important Information
- Application Window: February 2, 2026 at 8:00 am - February 27, 2026, 5:00 pm
- Applications are accepted throughout the window; there is no priority for early submissions. Take your time to review and select the best fit for your child before the deadline.
Kindergarten Registration
