There’s a 24/7 hotline run by Sacramento ACT that should be utilized in two types of situations (1) Individuals that are witnessing active ICE enforcement and (2) Individuals that were apprehended by ICE within the last 12 hours. The hotline number is (916) 245-6773. Please store that number in your phone.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

On September 5th 2017, the Trump Administration announced its intention to phase out and end the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Multiple lawsuits were filed challenging the Trump Administration’s decision to end the DACA program.

On June 18, 2020, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump Administration’s decision to end the DACA program.

The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) has released new DACA guidance with some updated information about how renewal applications will be processed. Please visit their website here for more information.
