For enrollment, a new student is a student who does not attend an SCUSD TK–12 school when they apply.

This includes students who:

• Attends SCUSD preschool
• Have a sibling who attends an SCUSD school
• Attends an SCUSD independent charter school

• California Montessori Project – Capitol Campus
• Capitol Collegiate Academy
• Growth Public Schools
• Language Academy of Sacramento
• St. HOPE Public School 7
• Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy
• Sol Aureus College Preparatory
• Yav Pem Suab Academy

If your child attended a SCUSD school in the past but left and is now returning, they are considered a new student for enrollment purposes and must complete the full enrollment process.
