Dear Sacramento City Unified Families, 

We are writing to keep you informed about our response to the recent storms and the potential impact on the scheduled resumption of classes tomorrow.

As you are aware, the storms and wind have caused widespread power outages across the Sacramento area. We are in communication with SMUD about the efforts to restore power and better understand how these outages will affect our campuses, students and staff.

Our SCUSD facilities teams are also working to assess any damage to campus buildings or property and make necessary repairs. 

We will continue to keep you informed as we get new information. Expect another communication from us later  this evening to provide any updates about whether storm and power outages may impact class schedules tomorrow.
