Want to monitor your student’s progress in real-time?—sign up for SCUSD’s online parent portal

This school year, we want to make it easier for parents and guardians to access their student’s records, attendance, grades, class assignments and other important information that is critical to monitoring a student’s academic performance. That is why we are encouraging all parents with smartphones or mobile devices to download the Infinite Campus Parent Portal App where all this information is now available at your fingertips.

The District’s Online Parent Portal organizes many of Infinite Campus’ features into a format that is easy for parents to navigate. It can be accessed via the smartphone app, a mobile device or computer and was created to empower parents and guardians with real-time access to your student’s records and other important announcements. The portal is designed to allow parents/guardians to see student’s class progress and activities, increase communication with teachers, and to provide the information and assistance needed to support a student’s success. Currently, the Parent Portal has the capability to help parents easily:

  • Access grades and standardized test score information
  • Monitor student attendance
  • View classroom assignments
  • Update student contact information
  • Communicate directly with teachers

“We want to make sure that academic progress information is easily accessible to our parents,” said Superintendent Jorge Aguilar in a video released this week encouraging families to sign up for the SCUSD Online Parent Portal. “Every parent should have the ability, and the right, to make sure that they can access information about their student’s performance. It is extremely important that we demonstrate to our community that our vision is to make sure our parents are always in touch with how their students are doing.”

In the coming weeks, the District will be reaching out and helping over 54,000 parents/guardians sign up for the Portal. This effort started last Thursday, August 8th when an email, voicemail and a unique activation key along with instructions were sent to parents and guardians that have an updated email address with the District. Please check your email to make sure you received this message and follow the activation instructions. Click here to see a sample of the message that was sent last week to families with updated email addresses in our system.

Parents and guardians that did not receive an email from the District with activation instructions will need to update their email address with the District. If you need to update your email and/or other contact information, please do so directly at your school site when classes resume on August 29th. The District will be working with sites to obtain updated contact information after school starts and will be reaching out directly to parents/guardians via email to provide a unique activation code and instructions. More features will be added to the Online Parent Portal as subscriptions and usage of the tool increases. To access Infinite Campus, please visit our website
