Rosemont Students Awarded CREATE Mentoring Program Scholarships
At the CREATE Mentoring Program banquet on March 20th, four Rosemont students won scholarships from the program: Mehak Walia ($500), Alycia Fenes ($1,200), Renata Kovalchuk (Outstanding Senior and $1,600), and Jessica Salazar (full scholarship to the Summer Academy).
The purpose of the CREATE Mentoring Program is to educate and inspire high school students to pursue career pathways which create the built environment. It is a collaborative effort that brings many construction industry professionals, educational institutions and the local community together to expose students to architecture, construction and building trades. Students are exposed to various pathways upon graduation as well as sparking their interests in the various occupations/careers.
It was a great event and students were able to network with professionals after, as well.
