Reminder: Free and Voluntary COVID-19 Testing for TK-3 Grade Staff and Students on April 5 & 6

We recommend all our TK-3 grade students and staff complete a COVID test before in-person instruction starts on Thursday.  SCUSD Health Services staff is providing free and voluntary COVID testing on Monday, April 5 and Tuesday, April 6 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at our 5 comprehensive high schools.

Instructions for Registering for PCR COVID Testing

Staff or students must register for PCR COVID testing using a unique link listed by the school you attend. You only need to register one time. When you arrive at the test site, currently at any of the high schools listed below, staff will confirm your registration on the Color application.

Current locations by region for April 5 and 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (once school resumes, COVID testing will be offered during the day at school sites):

  • Rosemont High School
  • Hiram Johnson High School
  • C.K. McClatchy High School
  • Luther Burbank High School
  • John F. Kennedy High School

More information will be coming soon on how to register for the rapid antigen/BinaxNOW testing. 

Parent/guardian consent is required to provide testing for students under 18 years old.  Consent is given one time when registering your student for the testing program.

Self-Collection Resources

To collect the specimen, the individual will place a swab, similar to a cotton swab/Q-Tip, inside of the tip of the nose. 

Privacy and Security

Personal health information and test results are confidentially stored in the Color software application.  Your information and results will be shared with SCUSD Health Services, and with state and county agencies for public health contact tracing purposes.
