Public Notice of 21st Century Grant Application

Sacramento City Unified School District is applying for 21st Century High School After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Elementary and Middle/Junior High Students Cohort 14 Fiscal Year 2023-24 grant.  21st Century Community Learning Centers Program provides funding for five years to establish or expand before, after school and summer programs that provide kindergarten through twelfth-grade students with academic enrichment opportunities and support services to help the students meet state and local academic standards in core content areas. In order to qualify for funding and program services, an agency must serve a high percentage of students (at least 40 percent) from low-income families.  Expanded Learning/Youth Development Support Services Department will apply for funding for schools that do not currently receive ASSETs funding and for those schools that are in the last year of their ASSETs funding cycle.  The district will also be applying for funds for some K-8 and Middle Schools that have a waiting list for Expanded Learning Program services under ASES grant.  The application is due on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
