Kennedy High School Senior Honored by Sacramento Kings
Jordan Davis, a senior at Kennedy High School, was honored by the Sacramento Kings with the “Dream Award” last Friday, Febuary 9th. Joined at center court by a representative of the Kings at Golden 1 Arena, Jordan received his award to the applause of thousands of Kings fans in attendance.
The Dream Award is given to a student that is exhibiting leadership skills in their school and in the community. The award is given by the Sacramento Kings as a celebration of Black History Month. Jordan was nominated and selected because he has shown leadership, honor and integrity on and off of campus. He also values diversity and is a leader in the Men’s Leadership Academy, a school district program that empowers young men to become lifelong learners and globally competitive leaders, and to be resilient, responsible and respectful.
The district is extremely proud of Jordan and his accomplishments. Next year, Jordan will attend the University of Arizona where he will study pre-law and play linebacker for the Arizona football team.
