Kennedy and SES Robotics Compete in World Championship

e-Connections Post John F. Kennedy School of Engineering and Sciences

Congratulations to both the School of Engineering and Sciences and John F. Kennedy High School’s Robotics Teams who competed in the World Robotics Championships in Houston, TX last weekend! The World Championship hosted 400 teams representing 10 countries.

After the qualification round of 10 matches, JFK ranked 9th and SES 42nd. Kennedy was selected to move on to the Semifinals. Although their robot performed well, the team lost the first two matches. This is the farthest any SCUSD team as ever gotten in the championships.

SES Robotics team won the Regional Engineering Inspiration Award and Safety Award to advance to the championship. The Kennedy Robotics  team was selected to advance as a wild card.

We are extremely proud of both programs for their success!
