School & District Expectations for
Volunteers |
|
A Volunteer must:
-
Register with the District Volunteer
Office by completing the volunteer registration form and submitting it
to the school office;
-
Receive training at the school
site—training will cover school safety rules, dress requirements and job
expectations;
-
Sign in daily at the front office and wear
an appropriate volunteer badge, as designated by school site;
-
Comply with the Volunteer Code of Conduct,
and all other district, school and classroom policies, rules and
curriculum;
-
Serve as a positive and caring adult role
model for children and youth attending the school where the volunteer is
assigned;
-
Immediately report any suspected child
abuse or neglect to the staff supervisor, or to school administration so
it can be properly documented and reported to the appropriate agency;
-
Be safety conscious
and immediately report any other concerns for the safety of students,
staff or other volunteers
