The
Transportation Services Department provides
home-to-school/school-to-school busing services for approximately 6,700
students every day on over 168 routes. In addition, approximately 4,375
other types of bus trips are provided each year, such as class field
trips, after school activity buses, and athletic team buses. Over 2.4
million miles are driven annually in support of the District's student
transportation program. The Transportation Services Department is proud to
have one of the finest safety records in the state.

Mission Statement:
To support educational process by
providing safe, dependable, efficient and cost-effective transportation
services in response to the needs of students, staff and community.
Responsibilities:
- Process requests, schedule buses, and
track expenditures for approximately 4,375 curricular and other bus
trips.
- Operate garage which is required to
service over 200 District-owned buses, trucks, and autos.
- Provide a continuous program for the
training of bus drivers that exceeds the requirements mandated by
California law.
- Respond to emergencies, including
accidents, and resolve problems and complaints from parents, school
administrators and the public.
