- If you are new to the District's
Credentialed staff, please review these pages as they will explain
the 18/24 hour
staff development requirement.

The Contract
Language page highlights the Letter of Agreement between the District and SCTA
regarding Staff Development requirements for all certificated staff.
The majority of your questions can be answered by the
Frequently Asked
Questions section.
If you still have questions,
please contact the Professional Development
Staff and we will be glad to answer your questions.
- If you are returning District
Credentialed Staff, the process is similar to last year, except
there are a few changes to the forms.

Important dates for 2008-2009
school year:
- Time to complete the required hours: July 1, 2008 - March 31,
2009
- Limited make-up sessions will be provided until May 31, 2009
- Hours completed in the month of June cannot count towards
Professional Development credits for any year.

K-12 Salary Schedule Employees
must complete their mandatory 18/24-hour staff development
requirement no later than May 31st. Teachers not completing the
requirement will be docked in pay as well as docked in credit
service. |
