The Serna
Center has two parking lots. The visitor parking lot, located on the
west side of the Serna Center, and the employee parking lot, located
on the east and north sides of the Serna Center. The visitor parking
lot begins at the entrance to the visitor driveway located at the
south west section of our property. The employee parking lot begins
as you pass through the rod iron gate and fence on the north west
corner of the building. It continues all the way to the employee
entrance/exit gates located on the south side of the parking lot
facing 47th avenue. The visitor parking lot has recently been
expanded and now has approximately 250 parking spaces. The employee
parking lot has approximately 500 parking spaces.

HANDICAPPED PARKING
The
Serna Center has handicapped parking available to visitors in the
visitor parking lot adjacent to the main entrance. There are four
marked handicapped parking spaces available to visitors.The employee
parking lot has ten marked handicapped spaces and eight spaces
marked reserved for additional handicapped parking as needed. All
handicapped spaces are near the employee entrance.
PARKING RULES,
REGULATIONS, AND FINES
Serna
Center employees are expected to park in the employee parking lot
only. Serna center employees parked in the visitor parking lot will
be cited. The fine is $18.00.
Serna Center employees and visitors are
expected to park within the white parking limit lines and not take
up two parking spaces. Violators will be cited. The fine is $18.00.
Serna Center employees and visitors are
expected to park in lined designated parking spaces. Those not
parked in lined designated parking spaces will be cited. The fine is
$18.00.
Individuals parked in handicapped parking
spaces must have a current valid handicapped placard, hanging in the
rear view mirror, or a handicapped license plate. Motorists that do
not have a handicapped placard or handicapped license plate will be
cited. The fine is $275.00.
The parking spaces marked reserved adjacent
to the handicapped parking spaces in the employee parking lot is for
additional handicapped parking as needed. Individuals that do not
have handicapped placards or handicapped license plates will be
cited. The fine is $18.00.
There are three loading and unloading zones
at the Serna Center. One is in the visitor parking lot, and two
additional yellow zones are in the employee parking lot. These
marked yellow zones are for the express purpose of loading and
unloading vehicles. Vehicles that are parked in the yellow zones and
are not loading or unloading will be cited. The fine is $23.00
The Serna Center has many curbs painted red
and marked fire lane. This means that there is no parking at any
time. Violators will be cited. The fine is $34.00.
Serna Center parking rules and regulations
are enforced from 6:00 a.m. to 12 midnight Monday through Friday,
Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
All revenue generated from parking citations
goes to the Sacramento City Unified School District's general fund.
