A large community room is available for community organizations
and groups as well as for district personnel. Many smaller
meeting rooms and conference rooms are also be available in the
building. We also have staff development training rooms for
teachers, principals and classified staff and two computer

Teacher/Staff Support Center
A materials lab, curriculum services and professional library is
open and staffed to provide access for teachers and others during
convenient hours.
Student Hearing and Placement
Office
Meeting rooms and a reception area for parents attending behavior
and placement meetings is available on the first floor.
Parent Resource Center
Located on the main floor of the Serna Center, the Parent
Resource Center has a reference library, computer lab and other
resources for parents.
The Serna Bistro
Our cafeteria, the Bistro, is open every day from 8am-4pm. It
offers breakfast and lunch options to all employees and community
members that attend our many events and community meetings at the
Serna Center. The Bistro also offers catering services. Learn

Parks and Recreation
The city is leasing space in the building and is a partner in
promoting joint use of facilities and services.
The Enrollment Center is right next to the Serna Center at 5601
47th Avenue. It provide families in the Sacramento City Unified
School District with a more efficient enrollment process. This
includes intra- and inter-district transfers, immunization clinic
