Goal:
The School Site Safety Committee training series is training designed to
guide school site safety committees through discussion, planning, and
evaluation of safety practices utilizing the school site Safety Plan as a
blue print for effective violence prevention, emergency or crisis planning
and effective response.
Each of the trainings provided through this series is
directly aligned with the requirements of the Comprehensive Safe Schools
Plan (CSSP). By participating in this series and taking the information
back to your committee, you can have your CSSP completed by the March 1st,
2008 deadline.
Objective:
The objective of the series is to reduce and mitigate violence activities
and significant catastrophic events such as potential terrorist’s acts,
campus shooting, weapons on campus and other violent incidents through
preplanning and emergency preparedness tactics.
