Added Instruction Days

Overview

On March 22, 2024, Sacramento City Unified School District formally submitted our application for a waiver of the penalties assessed by the California Department of Education for not providing the required number of instructional days and minutes in the 2021-22 academic year. 

If our waiver application is approved by the State Board of Education at their next meeting in May, school will begin on August 19, 2024.

Labor Negotiations

The Sacramento City Unified School District is proud to work alongside our labor partners in service to our students and community: Sacramento City Teachers Association (SCTA), Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1021, Teamsters Classified Supervisors (TCS), Teamsters Local 150, and United Professional Educators (UPE).

COVID-19 Health & Safety Plan

Overview

If a student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19 they must stay home and report that to their school office or supervisor.  The school office/supervisor must report the case to CovidReport@scusd.edu for contact tracing. A school nurse will reach out to them and advise them on when to return to school/work.

Flyer Distribution Process for Schools

Overview

The SCUSD Communications Office must approve all flyers for school distribution. Please email the flyer to flyers@scusd.edu for review. 

Flyer Approval Process

Flyers will be reviewed in 5-10 business days of submission. Flyers that are approved will be given a permit number and disclaimer that must be included on the front of the paper flyer or on the digital image if requesting for it to be posted electronically.
