Navigators Mentoring

Navigators Mentor Program

Description

A site specific small group mentoring program for students in the 6th – 8th grades.  Students meet for one hour a day, one day a week on their campus during lunch.  Focus is on raising student achievement utilizing the framework of the 40 Developmental Assets and the benefits of mentoring.

Earl Warren Elementary, Will C. Wood Middle, Mark Hopkins Elementary, Rosa Parks Middle Schools

Hours of Operation

Earl Warren: Tuesdays, 12:05 – 1:05

Rosa Parks:  Wednesdays, 11:10 – 12:10

Will C. Wood:  Thursdays, 11:30 – 12:30

Mark Hopkins:  Fridays, 12:00 – 1:00

Eligibility Requirements

Referral to program by principal, teacher, support staff or Healthy Start

Application Process

Students must complete a Mentee Application, have parental permission, and participate in a Mentee Orientation
