MOC is a district central location of registration for
English Learners who are
NEW to the SCUSD
and providing translation and interpretation services to
district offices and departments.
The center’s major services include:

Translations of district wide written documents for parents
and students (available on
www.scusd.edu ).

Interpretation services for district offices.

MOC staff
providing following registration services:
§
Registering new English Learners and entering information into SASIxp.
§
Providing support for bilingual families with easy access to
interpreters and placement in appropriate classes.
§
Administering and scoring the CELDT.
§
Checking on health records and making referrals to health services.
§
Providing orientation to new English Learners and their parents about
the
US
school system in their primary language, if possible.
§
Referring parents to adult classes and providing help with the
registration process if needed.
§
Referring pre-school children to
Child
Development Center at SCUSD.
§
Translation of foreign transcripts for high school students. |
