The Professional Sequence Certificate in Gifted and Talented Education
Approved for professional development credit (18 hours)
The Professional Sequence Certificate in Gifted and Talented Education is based on thirty hours of concentration in this specialized area of study. All sessions are also approved for SCUSD professional development credit. Sessions may be taken in any order & may be acquired over several
years. PSC/GATE Certificates are awarded when:
1) the applicant has attended the ten required sessions
2) the applicant has demonstrated a thirty minute in-class example of a differentiated activity
3) ten hours to personalize the PSC from other district professional development to include speakers and conferences.
